How Active Planned Giving Programs Beat Downward Giving Trends

The 2022 Giving USA report showed a 10.5% decline in fundraising adjusted for inflation. The largest category of decline was individual giving, which fell by an adjusted 13.4%. While overall giving was lower for many nonprofits last year, some organizations with active planned giving programs managed to beat the downward trend and raise more revenue than in the prior year.
